Ed received his call in 1964 in Buffalo New York.

Ed Mellnik founded the State University of NY at Buffalo amateur radio station WA2NPQ with friend and fellow ham Jim Welch, WB2DEI (now W1XR).
For the past 30 years he has lived in Oregon.

Operating on HF with a IC-751 and a Heathkit SB200 amp, and on VHF and UHF with a Kenwood TS-790. Amatuer Television on 426mhz, 910mhz and 1257mhz. |
